Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to leave Chelsea as MLS transfer agreed amid Champions League snub
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s short spell at Chelsea appears to be coming to an end as reports claim a move to the card is possible as the transfer has been ‘fixed’. It comes after a difficult few months for the Gabon striker after joining Stamford Bridge from Barcelona.
The 33-year-old has made 11 Premier League appearances, scoring just one goal and most recently coming off the bench. His struggles have since been summed up when he was left out of the Champions League squad to make room for new players in the squad in the next round.
“I don’t think it will be difficult because Pierre is a professional and of course I understand that he will be disappointed,” manager Graham Potter said of the decision. “It was a difficult decision, a difficult challenge. We had three comers and two had to leave. He was the one who missed, he didn’t do anything wrong.”

The situation has led to discussions about a potential exit in the near future as the Blues need a striker for the long term. While most of the major transfer windows have now closed, some are still open, meaning Aubameyang could leave sooner than some might expect.
One such league is Major League Soccer America, with reports claiming Los Angeles could be the striker’s destination. In accordance with Le10Sporta loan deal has already been agreed with LAFC for the remainder of the season, as the club recently lost Gareth Bale to retirement.
It remains to be seen if the move will go over the top in the next few days, but it could ultimately benefit all parties.
