Jeanie Bouchard reunites with twin sister at birthday party

This time Jeanie Bouchard’s birthday party went twice as well.

Former Wimbledon finalist Gini Bouchard reunited with twin sister Beatrice Bouchard at their shared 29th birthday party on February 25 in Tulum, Mexico.

It was the first time in eight years that the twins, who had lived largely separate lives in recent years, got together to celebrate their birthday.

“Celebrating our birthday together for the first time in 8 years,” Gini Bouchard captioned this Instagram photo of the sisters together. Swipe right to see the Bouchard twins when they were babies.

Béatrice Bouchard shared this snap with her sister, captioning her Instagram post “Birthday special” with a red heart emoji.

When their parents divorced, the Bouchard sisters also parted for a while. Jeanie Bouchard was raised by her mother, Julie, while Beatrice Bouchard lived with their father, Michel.

In a 2021 interview with Fox Sports, Beatrice Bouchard said that she sometimes considered her twin sister “almost a stranger” due to their distance.

“Gini has been with my mom for almost her entire life,” Beatrice Bouchard told Fox. “My dad was with me, Charlotte and Will. We were very separated and it created a lot of tension between my mom and me, between Charlotte and Will, my dad and Jeanie.

“He still isn’t perfect. I’ve seen Ginny twice a year since I was 10. I know some people at the grocery store better than her. It’s crazy, like she’s almost a stranger.”

In recent months, the Bouchard sisters have posted several shared snaps on social media, indicating that their relationship is getting closer.

Former world No. 5 Gini Bouchard is trying to regain her ranking after undergoing surgery on her right shoulder in June 2021 that set her back.

Only two months away from the start of the season, 2023 is already shaping up to be a reunion year on the WTA Tour.
