Storm Hunter of Australia and Belgian partner Elisa Mertens advanced to the Miami Open doubles quarter-finals.

Storm Hunter is enjoying the best result of his career at the Miami Open.
The 28-year-old Australian reached the quarter-finals of the women’s doubles with Belgian partner Elise Mertens.
Hunter’s previous best result at the WTA 1000 was a second round appearance in 2021.
The sixth seed led to a 6-3 6-2 victory over Monica Niculescu of Romania and Alicia Rosolska of Poland in the second round today.
This sets the stage for a quarterfinal duel with Americans Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, who took second place.
