So the big news here is simple…
The Classified now has a Campagnolo Ekar compatible 13-speed 11-36T cassette to match the proprietary Powershift internal gear rear hub interface. This means you can now turn your Campy 1×13 gravel bike into a 2×13, further smoothing out the gear steps and increasing your overall gear range by up to 477% (compared to 467% with the widest Ekar 9-42T gravel bike).
A one-piece 11-36T machined steel cassette with 13 speeds (11-12-13-14-15-16-18-20-22-25-28-32-36T) sells for €279 and weighs a claimed 242g with retaining ring . . Obviously you need to factor in the extra weight of the hub, but this cassette is already 150g lighter than the wide Ekar Gravel Race I tested.
Available now, the 13-speed Classified cassette is compatible with the Campagnolo Ekar chain, so you’ll need to swap out the rear wheel for one that has a Powershift universal hub inside, as well as a wireless remote derailleur.
